Rubber Sealed Deep Groove Ball Bearings
Rubber sealed (2RS) bearings use a contact seal to keep moisture and fine contamination out of the raceway.
The seal lip touches the inner ring, giving a tighter barrier than a shield at the cost of slightly more friction. This makes the 2RS type a good fit for wet, dusty or outdoor equipment.
Best used where the operating speed allows for the extra seal drag and where protection matters more than maximum speed.
